Maxim's Dim Sum Academy (apply now!)

 

Opened its first restaurant in Hong Kong in 1979, Maxim's Palace is dedicated to providing guests with high-quality Cantonese dim sum and dishes in a palatial palace design, creating a warm time for countless local families.

To this day, "Maxim's Dim Sum Academy" hopes to pass on this memory. Students can experience the making of Cantonese dim sum through interaction with our chefs, feel our passion for Cantonese dim sum, and create unforgettable moments together.

 

The course allows students to learn the cooking skills of 2 traditional Cantonese dim sum within 2 hours, covering more than 20 types of dim sum, including filling making, kneading dough, shaping and cooking techniques, etc., all of which are popular restaurant dim sum.

 

Course fee:

- Adult class: $450

- Family Class (1 adult + 1 child): $630

(Available for children aged 6-11, and must be accompanied by a parent.)

Monday to Sunday

- 10:30 - 12:30*

- 15:30 - 17:30*

- 18:30 - 20:30

*On Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, the daytime course is a "parent-child class" content.

 

Language: Cantonese

Duration: Approximately 2 hours (2 types of dim sum)

 

Number of students: At least 8 students per class (students can register independently)

Note:

After completing payment on Klook, participants must book their class date and time within 90 days of full payment and at least two days before the start of the class (at or before 12 noon) by calling (+852 2628 9668), WhatsApp (+852 9807 9040), emailing cr6169@maxims.com.hk, or visiting the Maxim's Palace MOKO store. Our staff will contact participants by phone or email two days prior to the class date (at or before 12 noon) to confirm the date and time.

Maxim's Dim Sum Academy - Terms and Conditions

  • Maxim's Dim Sum Academy ("Academy") is organized by Maxim's Caterers Limited ("Maxim's", "we", "us" or "our"). This Academy will be held in a designated area (the "Venue") in Maxim's Palace ("Maxim's Palace MOKO store") at Shop 601, 6/F, MOKO New Century Plaza, Mong Kok.
  • If you would like to participate in any of our classes, please visit Maxim's Palace MOKO store to purchase an admission pass in person, or purchase an admission pass electronically through Klook or other online platforms.
  • If the admission pass is purchased at Maxim's Palace MOKO store, participants are required to pay the full fee and confirm the class date and time.
  • If the ticket is purchased through Klook or other online platforms, participants must make an appointment for the class date and time by phone (+852 2628 9668), WhatsApp (+852 9807 9040), email to cr6169@maxims.com.hk or visit Maxim's Palace MOKO store within 90 days after payment and at least 2 days before the start of the relevant course.
  • We will contact participants by phone or email 2 days before the course date (on or before 12 noon) to confirm the date and time. If you have food allergies or specific dietary needs, please inform us when booking a course, and we will do our best to provide you with suitable food ingredients. However, it is limited to food design and matching, and the ingredient combination cannot be changed at will. We will not be responsible for any food allergies or any illness, injury or other loss arising from the preparation of ingredients.
  • Once the course date and time are confirmed, no change or cancellation can be made, and all fees paid are non-refundable.
  • There is a limit on the number of people in each class. Registration is accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, and the quota is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. If the original course date and/or time needs to be changed due to insufficient number of applicants, we will contact participants by phone or email two days before the scheduled course date to inform the relevant arrangements. Participants may choose to make up for it, participate in other courses or accept substitutions of restaurant dishes of equivalent value according to the terms and conditions in the relevant notice, and no refund will be given for the paid fees.
  • If participants miss the class on the scheduled date and time, they will be deemed to have given up automatically, and all paid fees will not be refunded, and there will be no make-up or other course arrangements.
  • Unless otherwise specified, no change of class time will be accepted by any participants, and admission quotas cannot be exchanged for cash or other goods.
  • Participants must be at least 6 years old. However, if the participant is at least 6 years old but under 12 years old at the time of participation, the child fare must be paid and accompanied by a parent or guardian aged 18 or above at all times. If participants are at least 12 years old at the time of participating in the course, they will be required to pay the adult fare and do not need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. Participants and their accompanying persons (if applicable) are deemed to be participants and are subject to full payment and are subject to these terms and conditions.
  • The Academy reserves the right to change the proposed date, time, content and/or instructor's rights of the original course without prior notice.
  • Classes in this Academy are conducted in Cantonese, Putonghua and/or English. If you wish to teach in Putonghua or English, you must inform the staff at the time of confirmation or booking of the course.
  • Photos are for reference only. All materials are subject to availability and we reserve the right to change some or all of the materials without notice.
  • Participants are required to arrive at the venue 10 minutes before the start of the course and present relevant payment proof for identity verification. Except for verified participants, no one is allowed to enter the venue or participate in the Academy in any way.
  • If the Observatory announces that Typhoon Warning No. 8 or above or a Black Rainstorm Signal ("Severe Weather Warning") will be hoisted immediately or within 2 hours before the start of the class 4 hours before the start of the class, the class will be postponed for that day. The postponement of classes must be conducted within 90 days from the original date and at a mutually agreed date and time. If the weather is bad on the day of the class but the severe weather warning is not announced immediately or within 2 hours before the class starts, we will decide whether to continue the class and notify the participants depending on the degree of impact of the class, and reserve the absolute right to accept the postponement request. If participants miss the class by themselves, they will be deemed to have given up automatically, and all fees paid will not be refunded, and there will be no make-up or transfer to other courses.
  • In the event of class cancellation due to special circumstances, including but not limited to power failure, water shortage or failure, gas supply failure, electrical or cooking appliance failure, the Academy will arrange for participants to change the class date and time, and participants acknowledge and agree that they will not make any claims or claims compensation from us.
  • Unless otherwise specified or notified, the course will proceed as usual if a severe weather warning is in force during the course.
  • During the course, participants are advised to take care of your personal belongings and will not be responsible for any loss and/or damage.
  • Participants acknowledge and agree that we may take photos and/or videos for promotional and/or promotional purposes during the course, including uploading them to our website and social media platforms.
  • Participants are not allowed to record and/or video record the course without our consent, and we have the right to request the deletion of the relevant files if discovered.
  • All content of this Academy (including but not limited to all text, images, graphic images, photographs, animations, sound effects, clips, etc.) ("Academy Content") is the property of Maxim's or, if applicable, our content providers or our licensors, and is protected by copyright laws, trademark laws, and other applicable laws. Participants may only use this Academy content for personal use. Unless otherwise agreed in writing by us, participants may not in any way or cause any third party to use, copy, reproduce, alter, modify, disseminate, publish, distribute, display, sell or rent any Academy Content.
  • Participants participate in this Academy voluntarily and understand and are aware of the risks associated with the use of knives and/or all kitchen equipment in the course. We will not be responsible for, compensation or liability for any loss or damage (including but not limited to direct, indirect or consequential loss), personal injury, bodily injury or death that participants may suffer or result from participating in this Academy or using related appliances, kitchen equipment and facilities.
  • All participants must follow the instructions of the staff present. If any participant interferes with the conduct of the Academy, engages in inappropriate behavior or endangers the safety of others, we reserve the right to cancel the participant's participation in the Academy at any time.
  • All utensils, kitchen equipment and facilities in our school are owned by us. Participants are obliged to use all utensils, kitchen equipment and facilities correctly and properly. If the participant fails to follow our instructions and/or is negligent and/or intentionally damages our utensils, kitchen equipment and facilities, the participant shall compensate for the losses caused by the participant.
  • All courses do not provide take-out equipment, and participants who want to take away their course works need to prepare their own take-out equipment. In addition to the above terms and conditions, this event is also subject to the precautions, terms and conditions after admission.
  • In the event of any discrepancy between the English and Chinese versions of these terms and conditions, the English version shall prevail. We shall have the right to update and amend these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. The amended terms and conditions are effective from the date they are published.
  • In case of any disputes, the decision of Maxim's Caterers Limited shall be final.
